The International Year One program is equivalent to the first-year course credits of overseas universities and serves as a fast track to prestigious British universities with lower admission scores.
As the first domestic teaching center authorized and certified by multiple British universities, UIA holds dual absolute advantages: autonomy in admitting students into the second year of university and academic autonomy in teaching Year One courses. This seamless transition to second-year university admission enables students to complete an undergraduate degree in the UK in two years, earning an honors bachelor’s degree. Compared to direct applications, the International Year One program is relatively easier, but the credits earned are counted towards the undergraduate degree. After passing, students can directly enter the second year in the UK, and the final degree is identical to that of direct entry.
A high starting point for university admission and a guaranteed path to top universities.
The foundation program is a preparatory course for university, serving as a bridge between high school and university. The courses are designed entirely based on university requirements, providing a seamless transition to better universities. Admission targets include the University of New South Wales (ranked 19th in the world by 2024 QS), other top five-star universities in Australia, and several universities in the UK’s Russell Group and Red Brick universities. Outstanding students can also aim for G5 universities in the UK.
As the overseas campus of DG, UIA Academy offers the same DG curriculum, equivalent teaching resources, and a China examination center. This setup allows students to enjoy the benefits of the British curriculum without leaving China, providing a high-return, cost-effective pathway to university admission.
